We’re a father-and-son team from Portland, Oregon — and ExoTalis exists because of these two dogs.

Bunny and Golda spent years dealing with relentless allergies. The scratching, the hot spots, the vet visits, the shots, the treatments — we tried everything. It became a normal part of life, but it never stopped being heartbreaking to watch them suffer.

The Discovery

A few years ago, after countless allergy tests and elimination diets, we finally got an answer: beef. Both dogs were allergic or highly sensitive to beef proteins — one of the most common ingredients in nearly every mainstream dog treat and kibble on the market.

Once we removed beef from their diets and switched them to novel proteins they’d never been exposed to before, the difference was dramatic. The scratching stopped. The inflammation cleared. They were themselves again.

Why We Built ExoTalis

We looked around for treats that fit this new standard — single-ingredient, novel protein, nothing artificial — and found almost nothing that met the bar. So we built it ourselves.

ExoTalis treats are made from exotic proteins like alligator, kangaroo, and venison: proteins most dogs have never encountered, which means their immune systems don’t react to them. Single ingredient. No fillers. No beef. No mystery.
